A set is composed of the tiny red dwarf sun, Proxima and it's one known terrestrial planet, Proxima Centauri b to scale to each other.
On this scale (1 : 2 billion), Proxima Centauri b, would orbit about 3.75 meters away from Proxima itself. The terrestrial and only slightly larger than earth planet (located in the habitable zone no less!) is presumed to be tidally locked to its parent star which results in an eternal day and night side.
It is also possible to add a Jupiter globe to scale in this set, in order to provide a further size reference point. Proxima itself indeed being only slightly larger than our gas giant!
- Proxima: 98mm
- Proxima Centauri b: 3.5mm
- Jupiter 69.9mm (mean)
