A Titan surface albedo data globe, hidden under an external cloud layer.
The outer shell represents Titan's opaque atmosphere as seen from space through the naked eye (or visible spectrum camera sensor as may occasionally be the case) Titan normally looks from space as a featureless yellow/orange sphere due to the thick organonitrogen haze that permeates its atmosphere.
The inner globe on the other hand is a representation of Titan's surface albedo features if the atmosphere was removed. Mapping data, comes from Cassini's VIMS (Visual and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer) that is able to penetrate through the clouds and map the surface albedo features.
